Mara Eagle is an American media artist based in
Tiohtià:ke (Montréal). Born in Boston in 1988, she holds a Bachelor of Arts from Marlboro College (Vermont) and a Master of Fine Arts from Concordia University (Montréal). She is currently a Bronfman Fellow of Contemporary art, as well as an artist fellow of the Berggruen Institute in the Transformations of the Human program. Recently her work has been exhibted at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, The Canadian Centre for Architecture, Critical Distance, the University of Kentucky Art Museum, and Centre Clark, Studio XX, Leonard & Bina Ellen Gallery, and Saw Video Media Centre in Ottowa. Her projects have been generously supported by
the Claudine and Stephen Bronfman Family Foundation, the
Berggruen Institute, the
Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), and the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Société et culture (FRQSC).
